FAQs

  • Booking for family sessions can be done here on the website - see the Book Now page. If you have questions, drop me a line first.

  • I work all over Yorkshire, so am happy to travel within the county. If you want to book outside of Yorkshire just drop me a line first - a small travel supplement may be payable.

  • If the weather on the day of your shoot is unworkable, then we’ll rearrange at no cost to you. In this case, your deposit is transferrable.

  • Once I have your photographs in the camera I will choose and edit them in line with my own style. You’ll receive a link to your gallery which is shareable, and you’ll receive a code that allows you to download images to your own computer or device. Generally you can expect around 30-40 images from a family or pet shoot. For events and parties, the number of images supplied is at my discretion; I’ll aim to give you the best selection! You can expect around 60 images per hour of shooting - e.g. two hours coverage will give you about 120 images.

  • I don’t have a permanent studio, so headshots are generally done outside or I come to you and bring my own lights / background. We do not need a lot of space for these - just room for a stool and some lighting :)

  • I get asked this quite a lot! I’d say dress for the weather and for comfort, as cold and uncomfortable children can make grumpy models ;)

If you want your images to look aesthetically pleasing and timeless then complementary colours are always a good idea. Clothing with characters and logos on can be distracting and really date your portraits, so if its possible to wear plain clothes then that’s always a winner. Wool, cotton and chunky fabrics always photograph well.

Take into considertion your location and the time of year too - wrapped up for autumn looks great, but if we’re snapping in woodland in summer you might want to wear something light. Clothes that allow movement like dresses always look fab.

If you’re wearing clothes that match in some way then it really pulls family photographs together as it helps with the feeling of connection. But if you feel uncomfortable, you’ll look uncomfortable, so try and find a balance between something that looks great bu also feels good on the day!

  • Most definitely! They are part of the family. We just need to check whether the location we’ve chosen is dog friendly.
